Students who have just completed the eighth or ninth grade at the end of June and moved to New York City after November can register to take the SHSAT.
Summer SHSAT registration is open through July 31, and students will test in early August. Please contact a Family Welcome Center to register.
Please note that students who were residing in New York City during last year’s admissions process are not eligible for summer SHSAT.
According to the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Student Enrollment (OSE), the cut scores for the summer SHSAT are the same as those used for the most recent fall administration. There is no limit to how many students can be admitted through the summer administration. As long as a student’s score is at or above the cut score, they will receive an offer.
