On June 29, 2025, I submitted a request to the NYC Department of Education (DOE) requesting the distribution of SHSAT scores calculated for students applying for 2025 admissions. On July 22, 2026, I received the above data in a final response to my Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) request (#F26,258).
Interestingly, the composite stats are almost the same as the stats for the previous year. Perhaps this is always the result after the normalization/calibration process.
Surprisingly, even though average section scores were almost the same, ELA had a much higher top score (393) than Math (338).
